Welcome to ICB Relocation! Let me share why I started this company.

My name is Dr. Oliver Redsch, and I’m honored to introduce myself and share a little about why I started this company. I deeply value personal connections, and I hope that through my story, you’ll feel confident that you are in caring and capable hands.

For over a decade, I experienced life as an expat, living in Japan for 11 years. My two children were born there, in Okayama City, and Japan became a second home to me. During those years, I taught German and English at various universities and schools, including the international Japanese school here in Berlin after my return. Living abroad shaped my perspective—not only on the joys of new experiences but also on the challenges of navigating a foreign system.

One of my greatest lessons from Japan was the power of service. I was amazed by how deeply customer care was embedded in every interaction. As a client, I felt respected, heard, and valued. Problems were solved quickly, and communication was clear and considerate.

Returning to Germany, I realized how difficult it can be for newcomers to find the same level of support—especially without speaking German. I saw people struggling with unclear procedures, confusing paperwork, and service providers who treated them as just another number. Misunderstandings due to language barriers often led to frustration and costly mistakes.

This is why I founded ICB Relocation: to help you avoid these challenges and feel confident in your new start. My international experience allows me to guide you through every step of your relocation, from visas and housing to navigating German bureaucracy. More importantly, I will listen to you, understand your concerns, and ensure you feel supported at every turn.
