Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data this website processes, why, and which rights you have. Last updated: October 2026.
Who is responsible
Responsible for data processing on this website (the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) is Dr. Oliver Redsch, ICB Relocation, Vetschauer Allee 17, 12527 Berlin, Germany. Phone +49 163 428 19 21, email oliver@icb-relocation.de.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to Cloudflare: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page you came from, and your browser and device type. Cloudflare uses this data to deliver the pages and to protect the site against attacks and misuse, and keeps it only as long as needed for that. We do not keep our own server logs. From the same data, Cloudflare shows us anonymous totals, such as the number of page requests, which do not identify you.
Fonts and images, including the map on our contact page, are stored on this website itself. Unless you allow optional features (see below), opening a page does not contact any other provider.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data may be processed in the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has confirmed an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Your cookie choices
When you make a choice in the cookie banner, your browser saves it on your device (in its local storage), so we don't ask you again on every page. Your choice is never sent to us. We ask again after 180 days, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings. You can change your choice anytime with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Legal basis: this storage is strictly necessary to provide the cookie choice you asked for (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), and we have a legitimate interest in respecting your choice (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics (only with your consent)
If you allow visit statistics, your browser loads Cloudflare Web Analytics from Cloudflare (see above). It records page views and loading times: the page address, the page you came from, your browser and device type, screen size and your approximate country. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies or local storage for this, does not create visitor profiles and does not use your IP address to track you. We only see totals.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it anytime with "Cookie settings"; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal. Data may be processed in the USA (Data Privacy Framework, see above).
YouTube videos (only with your consent)
Some pages can show a video from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The video only loads when you press play and have allowed YouTube videos; before that, your browser does not contact YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once the video loads, YouTube receives your IP address and the page you are on, and Google may store cookies or similar data on your device, for example to count views and prevent misuse. Google may also process data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw anytime with "Cookie settings". Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Contact form, email and phone
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, message and the address of the page you sent it from. The form is processed by Formcarry (Teijal, Inc., Wilmington, Delaware, USA), which stores messages on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, checks them for spam and sends them to our email inbox through Amazon Web Services. Formcarry works on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Formcarry staff in the USA can access the data, and some of its service providers, for example for sending email and checking for spam, are in the USA; these transfers are covered by the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and, for Amazon Web Services, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We regularly delete messages from Formcarry once your enquiry has been dealt with.
Our email runs on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland), which processes messages on our behalf under a data processing agreement; data may also be processed in the USA (Data Privacy Framework, see above). If you call us, we only note what we need to deal with your request.
We use your details only to answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide our services. Legal basis: steps you asked for before a contract, or the contract itself (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for other enquiries, our legitimate interest in answering them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, retention periods under tax and commercial law of up to ten years).
Booking an appointment
Our "Book a free consultation" buttons open our booking page on calendly.com. Calendly LLC (USA) processes the details you enter there, such as your name, email address and chosen time, on our behalf to arrange the appointment. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Calendly is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Calendly's privacy notice: calendly.com/privacy
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other websites. Nothing is sent to these sites until you click a link; after that, their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- get information about the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)
- have your data deleted, the "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17 GDPR)
- have processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR)
- receive your data in a common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
- complain to a data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: datenschutz-berlin.de
Right to object: where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To use any of these rights, simply email us at oliver@icb-relocation.de.
Do you have to give us your data?
No. Without your contact details, though, we can't answer your enquiry. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Encryption (SSL/TLS)
This site uses TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential data. You can recognize an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from "http://" to "https://" and when the lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar.
If TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.
